Still playing with my new 200 f4 Micro...

Can anyone guess what this is? I don't expect it to be all that easy to identify. So, if nobody guesses the answer, I'll be posting clue #2 soon...and then clue #3 if necessary.

At this point I'm still stumped...

I thought for sure that the color would make it impossible for anybody to recognize the photograph as pasta right off the bat.

Yes...the closer you get to things, the harder they are to identify! I thought I was safe in that nobody would guess correctly until at least the second photo was revealed. Here's the third photo of the sequence:

I put it up on a general forum for the university that I attended. There were a lot of guesses made and someone finally got the correct answer after about an hour. Then, I looked at this forum and saw that the very first response was correct!

I'll have to come up with another test. With the new macro lens, I should be able to come up with something. After all, the closer I get the more difficult it is to identify the item.
