I responded to a vehicle v/s horse incident early one morning several years ago. A guy in a minivan hit a horse running right at him, head on. The horse went through the minivan's windshield. When we arrived, the rear of the horse was hanging out the windshield, and the head was against the back door. The had to cut the entire passenger side off the van to pull the horse out with a wrecker. Needless to say, the driver was lucky to live. Had the horse been a few inches over, he would have been killed as well.

The wild horses in some places are like rats. BLM roundups have had little effect on their population numbers. It's going to continue to be a problem.
