We are supposed to have two tall ships here this weekend. Of course, we are also supposed to have rain. Maybe the gods of photography will let us have a wee bit of sun tomorrow. One of the ships is doing a sunset cruise, so I'm going to go down to the docks and see if I can get some shots of the ship leaving the harbor. I hope they have the sails up :)

Well, it was overcast and cloudy, but I managed to get a few good shots of the tall ships. I lucked out as the Alaskan ferry was leaving for AK this evening at the same time, so I got the shot of the ferry with the tall ship.

If the first one looks familiar, it's because the ship was in a number of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. She was also in Star Trek: Generations.

How large can we post on here? On other forums, I've always been told to keep images down to 600 pixels on the largest side. I don't want people to have to scroll back and forth to see the photos.

I believe the upper limit here is 900px, any bigger and the Cafe will auto resize.

Nice shots by the way, the tall ships are beautfiul out on the water.

No, they are the Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain. The Lady Washington is the one on her own, and the Hawaiian Chieftain is the one with the Alaskan ferry.

I did some playing with the shot of the Lady Washington this morning :)
