and i can get the same shot i normally would without getting so close to my subject...for those flowers and what not closer to the ground it sure makes it easier on my back..lol
;-))... picked this up for my boy but i may have to arm wrestle him for it ...;-))
  4. Wow... just wow, time to get my own :)  Kenko makes some nice stuff!
How's the AF speed post TC?

AF speed seems just fine...it was slow before and still slow after ..lol
  6. LOL, 10-4 that.

I just got my Di version of the lens and will probably do some head to head testing, I think they're about the same - this digital coating business sounds like a marketing dept product than actual engineering.

no clue on whether or not the DI thingy has any merit, but i know it didn't hurt ...lol
  8. Can I get a 100% crop of this? Curious about sharpness

interesting.. I have the Tamron 1.4 and 2.0 TC's but haven't thought to use them with my Tamron 90... I'll give them a whirl and see if they do any justice to the lens.

Glad to see it found a good home. I had also tried that combination and found good success. Most of the time shooting macros you're stopped way down anyway so the loss of one stop with the TC doesn't really matter.

Nuteshack, my favorite is that of your grandson. beautiful eyes.
I could not possibly handhold that combination.

    Take care.
