Has anyone shot this on film, I'm trying to decide if this will be a cheaper alternative to the nikkor.

Never heard of it myself. In general I've found their lenses to be pretty good though.

So, how long did it take to get back out of that giant vat of film cannisters?

I don't have any experience with that lens. Maybe someone who's used it will come along eventually.

15 maybe twenty minutes... actually... that was a fun shot actually, grabbed all the old canisters from the school lab cut a whole in a trash bag for my head, and began pouring I smelled like chemicals for the rest of the day but it was worth it.
