Tank in my backyard --- Next Image

Discussion in 'Miscellany' started by sbuttrick, Sep 17, 2005.

  1. My son and his friends are building a tank for a history project at school. Under all that ply wood is a brand new Envoy (not mine). They are shooting a video of a WWII battle. They even have one of the Dads with a pilots license flying a WWII vintage fighter. Tomorrow they are driving this "Beast" over to the airport and will have a Police escort. More photos to follow.

That looks like it would make one heck of a potato cannon!!

  6. Cool! Yes, Giant Potato Gun for sure.

Is this gonna be able to roll around too?

  7. Well you have peaked my curiosity so lets see the followup images.

  8. Here's the next installment in the series. You can see all of the images at my web site.

  9. oK-that is pretty wild that a plane made out of plywood can fly!!!

How come - the tank is not returning fire? At least small arms fire or something?

    Pretty cool I gotta say.

Ohhhhh - Now I see it. The tank is returning fire. Did he get em?

  10. It looks like the tank is a little undergunned. Nice 2nd shot in the series. The plane is cool but the tank is special.

  11. The T34 is owned by the father of my sons partner in the project. He spent all day helping out being the fighter guy. On the last flight I got to go up in the T34 and drop the bombs. The bombs were sacks of flower, not photos of that though. The ride was a blast.
