Excellent image Darren. I understand these are seldom seen and not common.

Very hard to see these in the wild, but, I should have said that these are from a Park Aviary.

They have amazing soft plumage and are very well camouflaged against trees and logs etc.

These are one of my favorite birds in the world. In 1996 we were in Port Douglas and went to the Habitat there for a Breakfast with the Birds event. We were able to interact with one of these, and they are absolutely gorgeous. You folks are so lucky to have many of the species you do there. Love the picture, I'm jealous ......

No, I think I should have titled this "shocked and angry". Probably not happy as I had my three year old with me wanting to pat them.
