In order for all functions to be full supported You need to be using a 'E' Tc. Such as the TC-201E or the TC-14E I believe all the others are AIS and manual focus. Basically you will know by the price. I have never seen a Silent Wave Converter for less than about 300$

I won't be buying one. I could lend it for 1 time use when shooting birds. I was wondering what functions will work and what functions will not.

Also I think that only the TC17EII supports VR
