Yesterday I spotted a Nikon D3s with about 150,000 clicks very close to where I was at a reasonable price, so I went to check first hand and.. I took the plunge! I think I have to make a comparative review among the pro cameras I have the privilege to own and use, because they do have a few differences, that's obvious. This is one of the very first images I took with a 40 y.o. 105/2.5 and a bounced SB-22s set in M.

I saw a D3 at a good price at Foto Orlando, in Montecchio Emilia, just along the "pre Montagna" from Collecchio.. I see it has gone, is this yours?

It is a great place for second-hand gear and I find him honest with trade-ins.

Lovel tones in this shot, just like my old D700

Yes, @NCV ( I remember you're from Reggio Emilia, IIRC ) that was the D3s you saw. I was even lucky because it had been already "booked" but the previous guy decided NOT to get it.
This is another from tonight, much nicer mood ( with 50/1.2 AIS ) yet worse background
I agree it has distinct and different tones from the more recent cameras.
