.. just too convenient, but sometimes I'm impressed by the results

    Very nice.
  3. Hey Chris.. Nice capture...
I've have to agree with you that the 18-70
still surprises me in what it can produce...
  4. I enjoyed mine while I had it!
  5. I agree, the 18-70 is a great lens for the money. Last trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone, it was my only lscape lens - I think its pretty good IMHO:

    NIKON D200    ---    38mm    f/10.0    1/400s    ISO 100

    thanks for the comments

I took a bunch of pics the other day at the Mid-Ohio classic bike weekend. Essentially I started with the 18-70, but then I switched to my 35. At first I was much happier with my 35 results, but as I go back through I really don't have much to complain about with the 18-70 (granted most are in the f 7.1 to 8 range). I bought it some time ago when a low-ball ebay bid was successful (I really didn't need it)- - - -

anyway, here's a classic bike (also with the 18-70) .......

  8. I gave my D70 with this lens to my daughter when I upgraded. I do miss the lens sometimes. A great performer.
