Nice travel kit and a nice travel shirt too.
I've always thought I'd try those two lenses and maybe add a Rokinon 12 F2.

That A7ii is not bad looking camera at all. I have a very unhealthy interest in this model at the moment. How usable is it with MF Nikon mount lenses and the Techart Pro? I have a 58/1.4 and a 105/2.5 I would like to use. I imagine it's fun?

The Techart works great within the 20mm and 60mm range of lenses. Under 20mm and lenses 60mm need slight fine tuning, but the AF will always be spot on when using the the Techart adapter!

I meant to say longer than 60mm. Also focus peaking works extremely well if you want to use manual focus only.

This is how my entire Sony + Nikon + Sigma portrait kit looks. The Op/Tech neoprene straps are my go-to straps for carrying heavy lenses. They really alleviate the weight making it easy to carry heavy lenses. I'm actually using their bag straps, due to the thicker band which makes them much more comfortable!

Hey John how do you like the CV 75mm f2.5? I tried the CV 75mm 1.8, but I found it soft at f/1.8. I hear the f/2.5 version is sharper.

Performance is good at F2.5. OOF is nice. I haven't really shot it much.

I also just picked up an AI 85 F2.
I think it's the combination of longer focal and faster aperture but I'm liking the images from the 85 more.

Can't beat the size, weight and price of the 75 tho.

I'm going to sample the 75, 85 and 100e together when I get a chance.
All pretty nice light affordable short tele options for the A7ii.

And I really dig the close focus with the TAP. ( :

The close focus ability of the TAP comes in handy especially with the rangefinder lenses that are small, but have very long MFD. I went through a few copies of the 85mm f/2 and never found it very sharp. The 85mm 1.8 Ai either K or factory Ai, are all very sharp, but tend to be heavy. To be honest I haven't really found a good compromise lens in the 85mm range that works well with the TAP. It's hard when using the legendary 105mm 2.5 AI-S as a reference lens for performance!

I heard there were good copies floating around, so you might have scored! Pentax made a M42 85mm Takumar that is relatively small.

The Bargain Camera Show in Pasadena is coming up, I might need to go track some diamonds in the rough!

I picked up a few roughs(not diamonds). Rokkor 45 F2, OM 28 3.5 and a FDn 50 1.8.
They all perform very nicely for $20-35 lenses. I had intended all for the TAP but the MD and the FD K&F adapters didn't clear the motor on the TAP. I took a file to them and the MD works fine. The FD needed more than I could give it.
