And you even had a camera with you. Birds, especially seldom or shy ones are usually doing this for me only (knowingly, I bet!) when I don't have a camera at hand.
... or if they know(!) that I can't focus that close with the current lens.

Yours at least tried to hide a little bit. :rolleyes:

I saw it leave and fly behind me but it came back and landed about 20 yards away.

I was in my blind at the time camera was setup but not on this tree.
