The backroad tour Waitakare's

The photovan has been sitting idle for too long , due to the long weekend I decided to do some driving on the back roads since I've seen much of the main scenery around here .
I headed from Raglan to Port Waikato via Waikaretu

I had the 10.5mm lens on the D50 and it made for some interesting shots while I was driving .

I took a detour to the Nikau caves but they were closed[?] possibly due to the easter holiday .

I was headed for the Waitakare ranges , you have to go through awful Auckland to get to them but they were worth the drive .

Then I had to hit the main roads again - due to the holidays they police were out in full force .

By this time I was feeling a little car-sick - all those windy roads . The campsite at Whatipu is quite basic but well located .

I have just bought a Panasonic FT3 and am really liking it . Most of the time I had the lens at 28mm . The following pictures were taken with the FT3 :
