We had some interesting visitors this morning so I thought I'd share them. All of these photos were taken with the D2H, 300f4 and TC14 and all but one were taken without leaving my backyard.

Green Heron (I walked around the side of the pond to get this one)

Nah, Frank, not a wildlife preserve -- but that would be nice! Just happen to have a pond behind my property and lots of others nearby that attract a range of creatures who visit the pond on occasion. It's a great location.
  9. just be glad you dont find this strange bird in your backyard. A rare, scary species.

Thanks for sharing. You people in the Southern U.S. continue to amaze me with the quality and diverity of wildlife shots. Here, the birds and critters seem much more shy of people, but its no wonder as I found a bunch of fresh shotgun shells at one of my favorite lakes the other day :(
  11. Between Mikes front yard and your back yard, who needs to venture into the wild! some great captures!
  12. I've got to move out of the city. These are just terrific!!!!
