I now have one........thanks to the for sale forum. I hope to have new pics to share this weekend! (I'm in the middle of unpacking and moving into a new house or I would have some for you already)

Congrats (to both of you), it is truly a wonderful lens! I had a very hard time getting it off my camera for quite some time. Look forward to seeing your shots with it.

Congrats Sonya - I got mine recently from the sale forum as well.

It simply rocks. I don't have any "wow" photos with it yet, but here's one recent
shot from a session.

Thanks Chris. I was expecting some BIG lens to be called the Beast. Why is this lens nicknamed as such?

This is the (physicly) largest mid range zoom you will find.

Sonya, you are going to love this lens, if you can lift it.
Maybe a workout rutine, some curls would probably do the trick.

No kidding! I have it on my D300 with grip and it's going to take some getting used to. My heaviest by far! I'll go take some pics now.....but like I said, we're in the middle of moving into a new home so my shooting time has been ZERO! I'm having withdrawals.....

Get your family stuff done first, then put your full attention on getting familiar with THE BEAST. Lets see some photos of those cute little girls:wink:
