The Bride

Discussion in 'People' started by Richard Peters, Jul 7, 2007.

  1. I went to one of my friends weddings a few days ago, as a secondary photographer to the two pro's she paid for the day. I've not done any wedding photography before but thought I'd share this.

Its my favourite shot of the day, and it will be the brides too of my shots at least as this is her horse and she hasn't seen it for over 3 years. So not only was the big day special but seeing her horse again made it even more so. She was overwhelmed when she first saw Starlight (the horse) and everyone got a bit watery eyed as she started crying. She looked so happy to see her, it was really a lovely moment.

There was a crowd of people around her at this point so I was standing back and trying to pick shots off through the gaps in people!

I'd ask the groom, "Why such a long face?"

Sorry, I couldn't resist that one.

Great shot - although first thought was "wow, she's beautiful, she could have married someone better looking"
