The butterflies are migrating

Discussion in 'Other Animals' started by CliffB, Sep 29, 2008.

  1. I am trying to come to grips with using my D300, and was lucky enough, today, to have a couple of hours to chase some butterflies with it. Here are a few samples. I do not have a proper macro lens, so these were taken with a Sigma 17-70 and Nikon 70-200. I took these at the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens, in Belmont, North Carolina.

  2. Looks like you're coming to grips with your camera fairly well.

  3. Thanks for the comment, Jen. It looks like it will take a while to become familiar enough with the camera's settings to get results with which I am comfortable. However, I do love the way that it handles, compared to the D70 that I have used for the past several years.
