Yes, this past weekend the chicks made their arrival:biggrin:! They took their first walk from the nest and we prepared ourselves, sitting very still and our 500mm lens on tripods low to the ground. Well to our surprise they walked our way, stopped in front of us then proceeded on their way. In fact we had to use our shorter zooms, mine being the 70-300VR. What fun we had and such a thrill!!:biggrin:

Oh wow - these are great!! You are so lucky to have that opportunity! I love the one where it's calling and you can see its tongue but the last one is fabulous! I love how the DOF cuts through and how the chick is focused on the meal it's about to receive. That's just GREAT!!!
