The corridor

One of my favourite films and short stories by Stephen King is The Shawshank Redemption and this photo was taken in the prison where the movie was filmed, The Mansfield Reformatory in Mansfield Ohio and this area is the corridor that leads from the warden's residence to the prison. This was shot on a hot bright day yet, the darkness made one feel uneasy.

Thank you, I'm not normally one to get creeped out by places but, this hallway just felt ominous, even at 11AM on a bright sunny day.

This is another shot I visualized in black and white. I thought the black vignette would add to the foreboding mood.
