I'm still working on the settings...

But I found out one thing: The AF is really fast!

Kind regards

Oh Karen,
it's not "only" a D5 you own. Originally I wanted to buy a D5 because Randy and you were so convinced of it. When ever possible the 100th anniversary version.
Then someting broke on the car. And at another time the heater of the house was broken...
So, it was my fate, to buy a D6.

All I can say about the D6 in the moment - the AF is much better than the one of the D3S.

Kind regards
Klaus

Congratulations, Klaus. That's a mighty weapon; use it carefully.:D

Seriously, I'm sure you will get wonderful photos with it.
Thank you Jim.

I think I'll need half a year to set it up to my kind of usage. But my first impression is - I like it. The correct feeling in my hand, even some buttons are at the "wrong" place...

Kind regards
Klaus

Way to go Klaus. It opens up a world of photographic possibilities. Congratulations and enjoy your purchase.
Thank you Bob.

I think I'll have some questions about the menus in the next future.
They are not explained in the manual.

Kind regards
Klaus

Great news! Enjoy the new camera!
Enjoy this magnificent machine.
Congrats Klaus, you are going to love it. It's a wonderful powerful camera and I'm looking forward to seeing some images from you with the D6.
Considering your real and screen names, now that you own one, from now on we'll be thinking of it as the K6.
Awesome news. Congrats, I am envious!
Thank you my friends.
My D3S was a big step, coming from the D700. But the D6 seems to play in a whole different league...
Wait until I have a bit more experience with it.

Kind regards
Klaus

It's weird how different all my DSRL cameras sound.
D700 and D3S are the loudest. Then D6 - a bit quieter. But the F4 sounds best!

Thank you Terri.
I got one "little" problem - none of my software can't read the NEF-files.

Kind regards
Klaus
ACDSee Photo Studio Pro 2021(far less expensive than Adobe and works just as well, one you get past the UI), Nikon's NX Studio (free), On1 (less expensive than Adobe, excellent "training" videos nice UI), Lightroom, Photoshop
