    Artsy is good Gary! I really like that one. I know you don't like flash but I think it would be a big help in this location to bring out the bird. Just a thought.

    Not into The Better Beamers and Flash for Nature shots. Yes, I know the fill shadows and bring out highlights.

    Here is another I just Converted from RAW.

    I thought it looked pretty good, but then that's me.

    And it's good for reducing a bright background IF desired. Big if. I agree the photo looks pretty darn good for a difficult lighting situation. I know you will keep after him!
  7. Just until I get a few really good shots, Then I'm done I'm moving on to Prairie birds I've had enough of the swamps.
