Our daughter and her family came to visit us for Easter weekend. We had a lot of fun at several different activities. Yesterday morning we filled Easter Eggs for our family Easter Egg hunt and then we went to a local community egg hunt. It was fun having the older cousins help the little boys learn the ropes of the community hunt.
Our precious grandson, Brody, (in the blue and charcoal striped shirt), was born with an extremely rare genetic metabolic disorder called Beta Keto Thiolase. It showed up in his newborn screening, but upon further testing the doctor consulted a specialist who mistakenly determined that he didn't have it. By the time he was finally correctly diagnosed he had almost died from ketoacidosis. It caused him some damage and he has worked so hard to learn how to walk and talk. He is a very bright little boy and is the most loving and kind child I have ever known. I adore him with all my heart. Little brother, Crosby, does not have the disorder, but the recent heartbreaker is that his newborn little brother also has the same disorder, but they found it at birth and are taking precautions to minimize the side effects.
It is so fun to watch Brody have fun and be able to function fairly normally in the world. He is my hero!!

Our daughter, Melissa, with little brother, Asher, who also has the disorder. My daughter is amazing and does all she can to give these two little guys every advantage to stay healthy and have the best life possible. She is one strong, amazing woman!!
The Z6 and the 24-70 make a terrific lightweight combination for a weekend full of family events!!
