Actually, it's grass and the bird is three days old. Least Tern, St. Augustine. Allan gave me a killer deal a 500 f/4 that I was looking for to shoot nesting birds. It does so much more. Today the light was bad but it did OK.

I was a little surprised. Looks like an f4 shot but I guess that low perspective does it. I usually shoot these birds at 8 because usually there is more than one bird...a sibling, parents, etc., just like shooting people.
