Thanks Louis, I got to see much of this country for the first time. Weather was perfect, animals were awesome, and crowds were minimal. (I did decide, however, that my Markins M20 ballhead is fired, and the brand new Feisol carbon fiber tripod is being sent back.)

I would often assume the haze and fog would be added in post- easy peasy.
However- I believe you do little post, which makes this image all the more special.

Thanks, I'm amazed at how vibrant and "groomed" a wild animal can be. Florida coyotes aren't even close to this.

I'd go out twice a day, pre dawn till about 10, then 5 or 6 till sunset. On that Friday, it seems everywhere I went there was something happening...no down time. Bull Elk early and quite a few Coyotes later in the day. It was just one of those days.
