I had a pleasure to photograph Dog Show in The Kennel Club of Northern New Jersey. The place was huge and filled with top class dogs. I have to say that I enjoyed this one a lot more then the Cat Show. I was extremely pleased with 70-200VR.

Hi Jay,

Such a treat to see your dogs. Bet you had a great time shooting them.

I am a doggie lover. Have three of them and thinking of getting #4. They're like peanuts--just can't get enough :)

Nice shots and thanks.

Very nicely done Jay. My fav is the second one - very natural looking shot.

I think the best illustration of how well you've done with these images is that we all seem to have a different favorite.

Great shots. But I don't thinkyou can really call the
thing in the third picture a dog. :)  :p
No argument there Todd. These wonderful animals have descended from wolves; noble creatures. To me, to distort their natural beauty to reflect human vanity is unfortunate. The irony is, I'm told the poodle is one of the most intelligent of dogs.. Go figure.

Thank you all for your feedback. I really enjoyed this Show. I learned that owners take this competition very seriously !!!!!!!!!!

My assignment required photographs as well as full owner/dog info. Owner's reaction was "Do you want full name or short name of my dog ?". After hearing the full version, I was asking for short versions thereafter. Amazing !

I really enjoyed 70-200 f/2.8. I wish I had 17-55 for closer photographs.
