...at marching band camp, that is. My daughters have been involved in high school marching band for the last several years.
For those of you from places where high school marching band does not exist, the schools here take it very seriously. During the 2 weeks of camp, they practice from 8:00 a.m. until well after dark. It is rare that there is a day without at least one ambulance visit to the practice field. If a player goes down, the rest of the band just marches around them.
Last year, they were state champions and won every competition they entered. So, the kids have a tough act to follow.
