The kids & the 18-200 VR lens

Discussion in 'People' started by cajun angel, Mar 27, 2007.

  1. Well, I just wanted to hurry up and try out my new lens, so while the kids were outside, I tried to get some cute pics while they weren't looking - that didn't work, so here's my 3 goofing off. I don't know what happened, but the 2nd pic is a bit soft. I remembered fill flash this time and my yucky patio door was open!

  2. Fun stuff Dianne! looks like motion blur on the second one. Remember VR does not stop motion of the subject, only aids in shake from the photog(you)

  3. They're cute Dianne. I agree with Dave on the motion blur. If you look at your daughter's right ear, you can see that ghosted edge, usually indicative of motion blur.

Yes indeed. Nothing will replace lens speed when the subject moves (other than increasing ISO)

That is until Nikon comes out with VR III Ultra... The earth shaker.

  5. Thanks Dave! Guess I should have realized that! LOL! Beginner's booboo.

Thanks! I know I need to just settle down and take my time - but wasn't expecting the kids to move quite so fast!

Well, I'm gonna keep on practicing ya'll!
