The kingfisher series

Discussion in 'Birds' started by mao ouyang, Aug 22, 2008.

  1. A good friend tipped me to a great spot for kingfishers. These are pictures taken over the last two weeks.

Some with the D3, some with the D300, some with 1DsMKIII and 800 mm.

Wow. That last one is my favorite.

  7. These are really great shots. Even the ones flying are looking way way better than mine sitting still

WOW -- these are awesome Mao!

  9. Mao, you really did find a great spot for these "devil birds" Job well done once again. It is getting time for me to trek out and find some of our local ones. I saw a pair playing on the beach last week but only had my 70-200 so all I could do was watch and enjoy the show. These are all very sharp and detailed. Love them all but the last one with the fish is tops.

  10. Stunning shots of one of my nemesis birds. It does'nt get much better than this.
