The last lens?

Discussion in 'Lens Lust' started by DiverX, Jul 25, 2005.

  1. Got my 28-70 AF-S today, still have to try it out...maybe this weekend, I have a photo job in NYC so maybe I will try it out there.

I think that is it for me for now!

    Main Nikon lenses - 17-35 AF-S, 28-70 AF-S, 70-200VR, 200-400VR, 500 AF-S
    Micro Nikkor - 60mm, 105mm, 200mm (60 & 105 mostly used for diving)
Wide angle prime - 20mm Nikon, used for diving.
    Assorted other stuff (28-105, 70-300)

I told my wife that was it, well unless they come out with a 500 or 600mm VR that is! Of course I would have to re-mortgage the house to get that!

She usually sees me with a 200-400 or the 500mm lens on the camera. She said where is the new lens, I said on the camera. She said...that is small!
I guess everything is relative! Looks like a great lens!!

I am glad I had the chance to work lots of OT on the job this past couple years!
  2. I'll be interested in your reaction to the 28-70, George.
  3. Could you adopt me? I don't eat much and I'm pretty quiet! ;)

I have 6 and a half lenses. I've told myself that five times.
  5. Sorry no money left for food!

The more that I participate on this forum, the more different types of shooting I wish to try. The more different types of shooting that I wish to try, the more lenses I think I need. The more lenses I think I need, the more I realize...that I am doomed! I guess I need to find that special tree that has dollar bills on it instead of leaves!

    That sounds so good.

Now, if only I can convince myself......

It is always the last lens, until the next one comes along. :)

So what are you getting next George? I'm thinking the 10.5. It should also make a good UW lens - even on film!
