I don’t know what the significance of this is. I never asked, but they had a horrible team that year (2005). Several kids were doing this, but this is the only one that came out well enough to process.

BTW, what a great idea for a thread. I've been coaching travel volleyball for ten years now, and once the girls get used to you having a camera around, look out, you're going to get all kinds of silly moments!

Hey wingspar, thats what you call a rallycap... You turn the hat inside out when the team is not doing well, and it's supposed to turn the team around!

Thanks. I figured it was something like that. They weren’t doing well at all that year.

Here are a few more. It really is a blessing to coach and impact the lives of so many young women...

And then sometimes they decide they've had enough and give you the "LOOK"...

Okay, I have another series of shot. Background, we have a manager and a hitting coach who are quite the jokesters--especially the hitting coach. All season long, those who know what is going on have been entertained as the hitting coach plays a prank on poor rookie bat boys. He sends them out to either first or second base and and instructs them to remove the base and take it to the umpires to be inspected. Needless to say, the umpires are clueless as to what is going on. You can tell in the series I am about to post exactly when the bat boy knew he had been "had" but the umpires gave him an opportunity to avoid humiliation before 5000-6000 fans.

Greg, this has been a fun thread to follow. I haven't had much to offer until now.

The other night my daughter was catching and said that the mask stunk ... to prove her case she feigned being sick.

She kept yelling at the pitcher to hurry up.
