It's a good thing that most of the cameras are single-lens cameras. Otherwise, just imagine how many lenses he would have collected.

Perhaps that was her Scottish thrift coming out. On the other hand, she did let him buy 3000 cameras. If she had been there all the time he might only have been able to buy 2849.

PS Just checked with my wife, who is also Scottish. She "does not want to know." I'll have to think about whether that means I can buy as many as I like as long as she doesn't find out, OR, if I do and she does find out, what the consequences might be. It was a bit like asking "What's wrong Darling?" and getting the dreaded answer "Nothing!"

If you do decide to go on a similar buying spree, just make sure she doesn't sell them after you've died for the price you told her that you paid.
