outside of wood peckers, the jays get my vote for one the most beutiful birds in N.America, but then there's an awful lot to choose from. maybe the most beautiful is the one I have in the finder:wink: .
  2. Very pretty!! Love the "baby blue" color. I've seen pics of Blue Jays, Stellar Jays but not a Mexican Jay so it is cool to see you snap one!

Thank you, everyone. Once in a while I get the 80-400 to really nail it.

If you ever get down to Tucson or below, I recommend this little spot. There's a lodge, the Santa Rita. They work hard at attracting birds to this desert oasis. Hummers, grosbeaks, finches, woodpeckers, buntings, etc. next time I get down there, I'm going to stay. My in-laws live in Tucson, so I had to drive down early AM. Exit 63 Continental off of I-10. Follow th esigns, its well worth it.

A dragon fly shot with 70-200(HSC Mode), 10% cropped off to bring it in to 8.5 x 11 size. Big fly from Madera Canyon.
  8. Spectacular shot you got there Toby! Print it large and display it conspicuously
