  1. One reason I got this lens is to shoot Florida Scrub Jays. They photograph well on overcast days with a smart lens. Ended up shooting some other birds too.

    1. Scrubby on the trail. Testing the lens at 2.8 for sharpness.
    1540o.

    2. Everyone else shoots this nest, 'thought I'd get a shot. 1.7tc attached. Viera.
    1540y.

    3. Nesting Flyer shot at f/8.
    1541i.

    4. Black Vulture Profile.
    1541j.

    5. Warbler at Viera.
    1540v.

  2. Bobby, the clarity and overall IQ in these shots are amazing. You're smoking with that 300/2.8, super job.

  3. I bet Randy misses his best glass! Awesome shooting Bobby, every one a winner.

  4. Great! Like the jay and vulture closeups.

  5. You’re a mean old man:)
The D850 + 300pf at f/4 is pretty close to the 300vr at 2.8 on DX and I can hold it

    It’s taken 6 months but I’m finally retooled for the 2018 season. D5 + 500e and the D850 + 300pf

  8. All great shots but for me the first one is the pick. Beautiful colours and a perfect BG.
