Have any of you used the new Tamron 9mm VR macro lens? I have a Tammy 90mm non VR lens and love it. Have taken hundreds of macro's phoyo's with it. I wonder if this newer lens is any better with the VR feature. If you have used one please let me know.

If they keep the optical quality up to the standards of the older lenses and implement the VC as well as it is on the 70-300VC this should be a winner for hand held work when a tripod isn't feasible.

New toy, the first one was focus perfectly but after 20 days was 'dead' so a new replacement came to me after 3 months
The new one is good but it need a +5 fine tuning to be OK

Leon, irrespective of the lens you use, your captures are simply remarkable, for, among other things, sharpness, clarity, rendering etc. I would admonish most (with very few exceptions)not to purchase a given lens based upon Leon's presentations. Most likely you will not attain Leon's level of virtual perfection.
