The price of IR...

Discussion in 'Night, InfraRed, and UltraViolet Photography' started by panama, Jul 17, 2008.

  1. has gone way up. A few months ago (about 7) I was on the Life Pixel website. I did some pricing to consider my
D100 for conversion. I was either going to buy an IR filter for $50 and do it myself or pay $250 and have them do it.
Now I look on their site and an IR filter is $200 and for them to convert is $450!
Hence there is demand... to many of us are liking this IR stuff.

  2. I guess they changed the prices. Now a conversion is $399.00 and the Filter is $179.00

Do it yourself. The nikon D100 is one of the easiest ones to modify. No desoldering, no headaches to get to the sensor.

  4. Where do we get a filter for a good price?
