The Rookery In Ohio

Discussion in 'Birds' started by OHcorgis, Apr 15, 2007.

  1. Mother nature provided a cold but sunny Saturday morning before the snow began to fly once again. We went early to photograph the Great Blues in their rookery in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Summit County, NE Ohio. The first one is my favorite because it tells a story.

First try with a new Tamron 200-500mm.

True Love - Hi Honey, can I bring you another stick?

  3. Great shots in sweet light!

  4. Thanks! I am quite pleased with the new lens. It is fairly light and inexpensive to boot. I have to make an effort to catch these guys in flight, handheld.

Always like the storytelling images and you have some nice ones here. I hope you will be able to show us the babies?

Very nice series, I like #1 the best, it just fills the frame up really nice. Envy your subject matter, wish I had some large birds like that to capture. I guess we have a few such as geese and pheasants now that I think about it but nothing as interesting. - Jeff
