The Shuttleworth Collection Evening Display -Vintage Airshow

Discussion in 'Transportation' started by Luckynp, Jul 17, 2005.

  1. The Shuttleworth Collection houses many historic aircraft which are mostly kept in an airworthy condition and fly regularly. I visited one of their evening flying displays last night - a beautiful summer evening with flying between 7 and 9.15. Here are a few shots, all with the 70-200 VR +TC-17e.

The light was going towards the end and I had to go to ISO 1600 eventually. It's also the first time I have ever tried this kind of shooting, so I'd welcome any comments or critiques.

Sweet captures, Mike. I have always been interested in aircraft, especially military aircraft. The Chicago Air and Water Show is about one month away and I plan to be front row and center for both days plus the rehearsal. Thanks for sharing such great aircraft images.

Nice work, especially for the first time. Gallery has some nice stuff, too. The Tiger Moth looks very familiar :

  5. Looks like the pilot is looking at you in #2! Great captures!!
  6. Thanks Guys. I really appreciate your comments. It was the most fantastic evening and I hope my sense of enjoyment comes across in the pics.

It was not even spoilt by the fact that there were at least 4 other people here with lenses bigger than mine.

I think the 4th one is an Extra 300.

Excellent shots. I like the Avro the best.
