W the 1983 Tamron, manual focus mirror lens. Overcast light, with the Sun on the opposite side of the bird to which I'm shooting--backlit shot--had to pull a lot from the shadows to get some detail.

Well I finally joined the Tammy club ;), picked up a Tamron AF 180mm f3.5 Macro SP Di in like new condition and so far I'm liking it.

Haven't done any serious macro work with it yet but got this doggy portrait while playing around with it on the D7100, wide open at f3.5.
