Hi all, I have been doing a quick search to find pic's taken with the Tameron 70-300 SP. Can't seem to find any. Can anyone point me in the right direction or better still give me a indication as to if the lens gets the thumbs up or down as I am thinking of getting one. Many Thanks .

Hi All,
Quick question. Is there much of a difference between the original 150-600 and the new G2 version?
Many thanks.

This was taken with the Tammy 150-600 at a distance. I very much like this lens but I find at times the focus can be a bit touchy.

I have been very impressed how well the 28-75 and 24-135 perform on my D700.

I bought the 24-135 hoping it would hold me over until I could save up for the Nikon 24-120 f/4. I have to tell you that I now have no intentions on selling it or getting the Nikon 24-120 f/4. The lens does all I need it to do when I don't feel like carrying multiple lenses. The best part is that I bought for $115 from another Cafe member and it was/is in like new condition.

I had used the 17-50 on my D300 and it was so good, I bought the 28-75 the same time I bought my D700. A fraction of the cost of the Nikon 24-70, but almost as good and it has not disappointed at all. Yes, the Nikon has nano coating and AF-S for faster focusing, but image quality is on discernible when the image is viewed at 100%, which I just don;t do. The largest I print is 11" x 14" and the prints look amazing.

I used the Tamron SP 20-40 & SP 24-135 for many years on my film bodies. They delivered quality results. I don't know why, but I haven't used the 24-135 on my D750 or D780. I'll have to give that a go. I have both versions of the 20-40, and that is a very good lens. Even on my digi bodies. And, my Tamron SP 17mm f/3.5 performed decently on the digital bodies. It performed similarly as my Tokina 17mm AT-X Pro did.
