Pbase is compressing this for some reason but I still like it.....

Love that color Jim. What time was this shot?

Wonderful pose, and beautiful color. The mood is very tranquil. If it was at the end of the day, what a way to end it. Well done.

Actually it was shot at first light....

Frank...you shot this sucker as well just before we unloaded a couple of zillion shots on the eagle!
  5. Very cool title and great picture too.

    Excellent Jim.

  7. Jim -

Subject isolation is very nice, composition well done, and exposed well, too.

I do see the compression artifacts around the higher-contrast parts of the image, but they're not distracting unless I view the image with a loupe. :)

Can't wait to see what you do with the D2X!

I have found if you bring up your image in pbase and then click on large and then click on original so that the word original is in the URL you are pasting into your message at the Nikon Cafe pbase will apply some compression. Below is two shots the first is your original post and the 2nd is with the word original in the URL that i posted. Hope you don't mind

    Hi Mike...

    Not at all....THANKS!

By the way...can you e-mail me and tell me where you got that framing action that you use? Is it a PCSC action?
