I had a wonderful hour or so on the front porch today, I sure wish so new species would come by and visist, but I really cant complain. I am always amazed at how beautiful even the most common species are.
These shots are with the D200 and the 300 2.8 with nikon 2X converter and the SB800 for some fill

Great images Mike! Flew and I were talking about this very thing the other day. There's a lot to be said for the usual suspects in our yards. If it weren't for them it would be pretty boring!

Mike, I can never see too many shots of these beautiful backyard birds. And yours are wonderful. You really punched my ticket with background, composition, attitude, color... everything is just wonderful. I can look at your work all day. Keep them coming!

God bless.

Oh my......I don't think I have ever seen backyard birds look so beautiful. The backgrounds compliment the birds....everything is perfect.
