The Valley, with fresh eyes

Most dramatic photos of Yosemite Valley are the famous "tunnel view", how many millions of photos have been taken there? Let me share this rarely shown perspective which I found further east along the banks of the Merced. No waterfalls but instead we are treated to the Valley dramatically narrowing down to a rarely photographed "Clouds Rest". To the left, North Dome and the Washington Column. To the right Glacier Point and distant Half Dome. When visiting the Valley we rarely get a sense of how narrow the eastern end is -- and Yosemite Village sits there!
