Walgreens has been terrible the two times I used them. If I actually paid for these scans, I would be ticked off. CVS isn't great by any means, but they blow Walgreens out of the water.

These are a random selection from the past month. Some of these scans are ok, but the crap ones will be in Part 2.

These don't look so bad. In need of some spotting, but I've had worse. From the 1 hour service in particular.

Depending on how much film you scan, it might be more economical to buy a scanner for a few hundred dollars and do them yourself, which is what I've been doing for about ten years.
I have a Pacific Images scanner that was my first unit.

I actually did get a V600 not to long ago. I was just out of town when I developed these rolls. I'll be scanning the majority of these again, once I get back home. Thank for the offer, rbsinto.

And, I won't let crappy scans keep me from sharing my work. Never have, never will.

I have had some which looked like they dragged the filmstrip through the parking lot before scanning it. Never did go back to that place. :frown:

I agree with others, these don't look horrible...but there's nothing like being in full control of your own scans.

I was just a bit ticked when I reviewed them and posted them. I feel like I made a bigger deal about it than I should have.

I didn't post them to review the scans, only to share the images. This is what I get for putting words in my posts. Haha.

Clayton, these photos are excellent.

The worst scans from film are still better than digital .
