Things not flying... @ ISO 1600

So I went out today to see if anything was flying in the way of Dragonflys... not a single one to be found. It is threatening rain and everything that should be flying seems to have hidden.

Being that the sky was so dark, and I had the PN-11 on the 300mm... light was a huge issue. After having heard about the great high ISO performance of the D300 ( usually don't shoot over 800... left over from my film days.) I thought I would try ... a little.

These were shot with the D300, 300mm AFS w/ PN-11 @ ISO 1600

They're not great but they're not too bad either.

Opinions?

Agree with the above. Nice shots and the background noise is quickly fixed with noise reduction without any loss of detail.
