this Tamron 90 macro might be a keeper

    after playing with this glass a bit more i tend to be more inclined to keep it...in camera minus saturation seems to be the ticket (i'ma jpeg shooter so these things can be somewhat critical)...:cool: 

    grabbed this one of my neighbor last night as part of my ongoing test/tweak

    It is quite the lens. While some people question the build, there are a zillion of them in use and I have yet to see a thread where someone is saying, "it fell apart on me".

    I've had mine for about a year and its a real keeper. In fact its such a good lens, that I've got enough money for a 200 macro or a D200, and I am going for the D200.

    Well, mine did fall apart. The front part of the lens came off the body, and fell down to the ground, while I was focusing. I sent it in for the warranty repair. They fixed it, and works fine again.

    So, I do question the build, but it's a great lens. Hopefully, it won't break again.
