One of my favorite places to take Bird pictures.
Where is that Jimmy? Sure is pretty
Beautiful spot, Jimmy. Needless to say, mine is the Bosque del Apache.
Well, I don't have the prettiest photo of my favorite place, but I dearly love going up to Hagerman Wildlife Refuge. This photo was taken the first time we went up there- Mariam and Josh shooting snowgeese on the lake.
Here's the dam below Lake Wylie, SC in morning mist. It's a mile from my house and my favorite place to shoot locally.
Wow great shots everyone.
This is a spot real close to where I live. It's kind of a neighborhood park.
I don't have a single favorite place and there are some that might become favorites if (when) I could visit, i.e., Bosque Del Apache. Because I spend so much time on the MD and VA Eastern Shore I guess most any of the scenic locations would be favorites. A classic Eastern Shore shot (to me) from a couple of years ago:

I'll let you know if I ever have any luck with bird pictures
Post some when you do.
No fair Jimmy, how can you pick just one???
1Conowingo Dam Maryland from Thanksgiving on to Jan.
2 Strike at the Conowingo dam (Susquanna Maryland)
3 fishing the Delaware River N.Y.
4 The Lackawaxen River in Pa.
Holy cow Lou those are fabulous. It's not limited to just one. I think it's neat to see what the area and surroundings look like where all my cafe friends go to shoot.
No kidding Jimmy! If you're interested, in December we should have eagles up on Lake Texoma. We're planning on going. It's not that far from where we live.
Sounds interesting Diane. Keep me posted.
My favourite bird photography location is Inner Farne, largest of the Farne islands in the North Sea.
Artic terns, eider ducks, guillemots, puffins, razorbills, sandwich terns and shags - and all of them extraordinarily tame!
Wow that is beautiful.
There's another place somewhere around Austin that I checked out today. It's about $35 for the boat trip, but it sounds like an all day thing and they provide lunch. I'll be getting more details.
I believe you are talking about Lake Buchanan (pronounced Buck Cannon). They have great boat tours in the winter to see the eagles. I saw about twenty once... unfortunately all of them were several hundred feet overhead!!
Very cool thread! Love the Bosque Pics. You all know where I hang out the most, 5-minutes from my house at Ft. D. Here are a couple :
1) East Beach at Sunrise
2) North Beach at Sunset
3) The lagoon at North Beach
4) North Beach before sunrise
