I really like this series, especially number three. Shadowplay is one of my favorite subjects and the delicate shadow is really nice. Definitely a frameable piece. :D

I'll tell ya those CP"s do great macro, close up stuff. My CP500 does good also.

Very beautiful.

Gale the CP5000 is even better in macro you can get a lot closer.

Would it be nice to have a Coolpix with the sensor of the D70

I will agree with you Gilles having owned the CP5000 and CP5400. Macro and DOF is unbeatable if the lighting condition is right for focusing.

Yes, it would be nice to have a large censor for these, but the focusing distance and DOF will probably suffer. But it will never happen as it does not make sense for the manufacturer to butcher it's own DSLR market with such a product... but maybe a Coolpix at the price of the D2X ;-)?
