Well here is something you don't see every day.

I shot the USAF Thunderbirds at Luke Days airshow at Luke Airbase in Phoenix, AZ.

Took 12 vertical images in sequence and stitched together in Panorama Factory. A very large original file, but with great deails...

Large Version: http://www.pbase.com/desertrat99/image/79999232/original

Highly recommend going and looking at the larger version...

Wooow, that full sized is beautiful!!!
They tried to sneed the two seater in on the end, didn't they?
Thanks Mason.. Th think they keep all 7 of them out there for testing just in case one of the others does not work properly, then they have a 6th ship to use...

Super shot Eric.

Having never shot pano succesfully, can I please ask your method ?

Is it simply using a tripod and rotating around the horizontal plane ? Although I suspect not................

How much overlap do you normally use ?

Great shot Eric, I think the 2-seater there is for emergency purposes but also for days like Friday when sometimes members of the media get to go up with them for practice. I couldn't get up to the fence when I was there to attempt a shot like that.

Great photo!
Have you considered cloning out that black box in the middle of the shot? Also curious why the 5 plane has its number upside down?
