A wedding on the beach, that's great. As you say today is getting rather controversal, it's nice that two people somewhere have something to be very happy about.

It's nice how the couple's anniversary will be the same as my 'Cafe anniversary'.
  3. cool about the coinciding anniversaries
    i appreciate your comments

they did seem very happy to be there

Why did you shoot this at 2.8?? Just curious...  I probably would have shot F8 or so.
  5. you are 1,000,000% correct
i only noticed THAT mistake when i got home

    very, very dumb
i had been shooting INSIDE a few moments earlier... forgot to "FIX" that before shooting outside
  6. Well, even at f/2.8, your DOF seems adequate. One of the benefits of wide angle. Also, it looks like you did a good job of controlling the flare from the rather direct low angle sun into your wide angle lens. I bet the paid photogs and guests were loving the way they were faced directly into the setting sun.

Very nice Greg! It is cool watching weddings and also seeing other photographers doing their thing.
  8. i appreciate you taking the time to look and comment
the guests surely couldn't have been happy the way they "set this one up."
of course, the wedding party had their backs to the sun... which, i guess was the plan, all along.

this was about as UNplanned by me, as you can get
i did like the casual nature of the ceremony

    thanks again
  9. thanks, kurt
i would have stayed longer... but, carol and mac weren't happy with my "intrusion," of course
