The Osprey and the Mallard were underexposed, and all shot @ISO 800 to boot with my 2X, so I did the best I could with those. Probably should've switched to the 2Hs, for better noise control at this high ISO. The Osprey was about 400 ft away in strong wind, so that's the extent of my excuses for today   .

This one turned out pretty good, imnsho
  2. Hi Steve, I like these images and especially the last one of the Great White. Good detail in that shot and the push off with the feet and the translucent look to the wings makes the image.
  3. Im with Gordon on these Steve. Love the last shot!

    Great Shots!

Lil Blue is my favorite. Much better noise control than the other images. If you can edit out the blades of grass on the birds chest all the way down to the bottom of the image it would make the image that much better as they are somewhat distracting.

Steve, the images are really great. I like each one. Flight shots are good.

I would hit it with a bit on NR though.
(could also be this LCD monitor)
    Let me know.
Cause I am having a horrible time PP my stuff.

I love the Great White. You caught it at the perfect instant in time.

  8. Steve Very nice the only one where I see some noise is the osprey but nothing that bad were these at Bear Point or the canoe launch

the 1st look like they need a little NR reduction
the last 2 are just fine
    and all are well captured.

Thanks guys. I think the combination of severe cropping and underexposure led to the osprey and mallard being so noisy.
And Mike, these were all shot at the retention ponds over at the high school near Harris and me.
